Duet [Drabble]

Notes: Please just give them a duet, it would sell I swear.

"Nika, if you got a solo, what kind of song would it be?" Senga asks, tilting his head up from where it rests on Nikaido's shoulder to get a glimpse of his expression.

Nikaido makes a face. "I'd never get one."

"Nika, Watta made the center of a single cover, never say never." Senga reprimands him softly, squeezing his hand gently in comfort. "I'm just curious. I mean, Gaya is the lover-kind, Mitsu is the strong-kind, Tama more like a drama-hero. Who would you be?"

Nikaido contemplates him for a moment, and his tone is serious as he speaks again. "I don't know. I've never thought about it."

"I think it would be something fun, playful." Senga says, fantasizing for Nikaido since he won't do it himself. "Something like that would really work for you, your whole aura when you're on stage."

"Nothing stupid then?" Nikaido mutters, and Senga releases his hand to elbow him in the side to stop his mind from the going the direction it's heading.

"Nika! Stop it. I know how you feel okay? But we used to dream, we shouldn't stop." Senga says as he sits up to look at Nikaido seriously.

Nikaido bites his lip, and for a second he looks like he's about to say something really heavy. But then a small smile returns to his lips and he takes Senga's hand again. "Playful and fun you said?"

"Yeah." Senga smiles back, relieved. "I think that would be great for you."

"Maybe." Nikaido says, and he leans a little closer, enough to tug Senga into a hug without letting go of his hand. "But you know, if I get to dream. I'd rather do a fun and playful duet with you."

Senga hides his stupid happy smile in Nikaido's hair, and he knows when Nikaido hugs him tighter that he means it with all his heart.
